It seems the older I get, the more the turn of summer into fall comforts me. It makes sense considering that for me at least, something about this season brings on a warm and deep sense of nostalgia.
I appreciate (okay, obsess over) the flavors of fall too. The pumpkin everything craze is well founded as far as I’m concerned and it can never go too far. It’s within the cinnamon swirled and spiced up dishes both savory and sweet that I can fully dive into a season that’s otherwise only ever half-arrived at best in Southern California.
So you can bet I have a lineup of fall mochi ice cream ready to bite into :)
